WR services disruption at Virar leaves Mumbaikars stranded for 'hours'

It was another terrible Tuesday for thousands of commuters on Western Railway, as services were disrupted due to power failure at Virar station. Here's how Twitter reacted


Mumbaikars travelling on the western line had to suffer during evening peak hour on Tuesday after electrical supply failure in signal cable box at Virar led to disruption of services.

The signal failure occurred at 18.50 hrs at Virar railway station and saw the Western Railway authorities running local train services till Vasai Road.

WR authorities have said that restoration work was going on in full swing.

Mumbaikars commuting on the line took to Twitter in droves to complain about the disruption of services. Some even requested Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu to help them out.

Many were also seeking updates since they were stranded for some time on the locals.
