More than 100 suspects have been rounded up till now. Cops are also going to sample the DNA of previous offenders who reside in the locality. Meanwhile, investigators have hit upon a theory of five possible escape routes.
One of the routes leads to Juhu after crossing a nullah connecting the east and west. The police say that it is quite possible that the accused must have used this route crossed over and escaped into the slums on the other side.
The entire stretch is lined with habitual offenders who operate in the area where the crime took place. Cops also suspect the accused is a petty thief engaging in minor house break-ins.
