Thieves broke into the house of well-known model and actor Jiya Shankar in Goregaon, and stole valuables and cash worth more than Rs 10 lakh last week.
Jiya (24), who has worked in many TV serials and advertisements, stays at Unnat Nagar at Goregaon West with her mother, who is a hair stylist.
"We have registered the case under sections 454, 457 and 34 of IPC and are investigating. We are also checking the CCTV footage nearby," said a police official from Goregaon police station.
