When the Thane Crime Branch arrested three men for car theft, little did they know that they had nabbed three murderers. During interrogation, cops came to know that they were involved in killings that took place Dombivali in 2012.

According to the report in Mumbai Mirror, Yunus Akhmal Sheikh (33), Raju Pradeep Singh (32) and Bablu Shivshankar Chaurasiya (34) were held by the Kopri police in Dombivali when they were allegedly attempting to break into a car.

The paper reported that during interrogation, while in police custody, they confessed to being part of a gang that was involved in murders Dombivali some years back. They even went on to reveal that they had murdered one of their members, suspecting he had turned police informant.

Sources told Mumbai Mirror that the accused further confessed to disposing of victims by sedating them or slitting their throats before throwing them into a creek near Palawa city in Thane. That's not all. The murderers would even tie down the bodies with heavy objects so that they do not resurface.

Nitin Thakre, Senior Inspector, Thane Crime Branch, informed Mumbai Mirror, "They confessed to murdering a gang member named Samiul. They believed that Samiul had become a police informant and tipped us off about their involvement in the flesh trade in 2012, so they murdered him. We discovered the body of an unidentified male from the same creek near Palava city in 2015. Now that we have their side of the story it all makes sense."
