Thane: Man assaults sister's boyfriend, books him for molestation

A 22-year-old bore the brunt of his girlfriend's brother after he stripped him naked and assaulted him after he saw the couple speaking to each other.

The youngster and his friend beat him up near Shahapur on October 6 and a clip of the assault has since gone viral on WhatsApp and Facebook.

After they were caught on camera, the duo took the girl to the police station to register a molestation case against her boyfriend Akshay Dudhele.

The Vasind police, who have registered the molestation case, claim to have received the video. However, they say that no one has approached them to register a complaint.

According to the police, on October 6 Dudhele, a resident of Dahi Gaon near Shahapur was speaking to his 16-year-old girlfriend.

Her brother noticed this and along with his friends took the boy into a room and assaulted him.

Akshay was begging them to stop, but the assault continued till he was stripped half-naked.

Clips all over Facebook
A few human rights activists from Vasind who accessed the video clip made it viral on social networking sites.

After the clips were all over Facebook and Whatsapp, the alleged assaulters took their sister to the Vasind police station on October 14 and registered a molestation case against Akshay.

Anil Pawar, Senior Police Inspector, Vasind police station confirmed that they have registered a molestation case against Akshay on the complaint given by the girl along with her brother.

No case against assaulters
When mid-day asked him about the video he said, "We too had received the video clips that clearly shows Akshay being assaulted by two youngsters in a room. But, no one has approached us to register a case of assault or else we would have booked them. The girl approached us so we have accordingly registered a case on her statement," added Pawar.
