A 19-year-old girl from Navi Mumbai filed a complaint against four people on Tuesday, claiming that they kidnapped her in a car and later one of them, raped her. The Kamothe police have registered a case and started investigations. In her statement to the police, the victim said that around 7.30 pm on January 14, she left her home to get her mobile phone repaired. "While she was walking near Sector 9, one of the accused started following her. Suddenly three others arrived at the spot and blindfolded her. Then they allegedly abducted her in a car," said a police officer.

The victim said she was taken to an apartment in Thane and raped by one of the accused. "The one who has been stalking her, raped her three times. However, the accused left her at Ghansoli station around 11.30am on January 15. From there she contacted her fiancé and told him about the incident. A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 366 (D), 354 (D), 342, 376 and 34 of IPC," the officer added.
Ashok Naik, senior PI, said, "We have registered a case based on the victim's statement." Speaking on condition of anonymity, an officer said, "The victim's medical reports mention that she is fine and there are no injuries in her body. The place from where she was kidnapped is a busy junction and a garage in the area remains open till late in the night. The case is being probed from all angles."
