Parents of the four-day-old baby, who was abducted from Sion Hospital here on December 29, today filed a habeas corpus petition with the Bombay High Court.

Mohan and Mohinee Nerurkar, the hapless parents whose baby boy was stolen by an unknown woman while Mohinee was recuperating in the hospital, today reached the court and filed the petition.

Habeas Corpus petition is filed to obtain directions to the police to produce a missing person. The petition will come up for hearing on January 17 before division bench of Justices Bilal Nazki and Anup Mohta.

The petition contends that police probe has yielded not results so far. It also demands that a committee be formed to probe the state of affairs at the Government-run hospital.
