Serial molester Jibran Sayed's days of speeding away on his scooter after sexually assaulting women have ended. The pervert, who molested 20 women in Bandra and Khar, was arrested on Thursday morning by the Crime Branch.
The police held Sayed after a nearly month-long investigation, by zeroing in on his bike, which had two small fog lamps and no registration number on the plate. They had been working on two recent FIRs against him in Bandra and Khar police stations.
U-turn to molest
Sources said a team headed by inspector Mahesh Desai found CCTV footage of a June 29 incident near Pali Hill, where a man was seen on a maroon Honda Activa molesting a 21-year-old out walking her dog.

The woman said, "I saw a bike blocking the way a few metres ahead. I crossed the road and kept walking, but the person took a U-turn, molested me and fled."
Lights on
The CCTV captured his bike, which had a number plate sans a registration number. Investigators also noticed that it didn't have side mirrors, but below the headlight, there were two small fog lamps.
"We shortlisted 2,500 Honda Activas between Bandra and Andheri, narrowing down to 250 registered from Bandra to Santacruz, and finally, to 122 maroon ones in Khar and Bandra. On Thursday, we spotted the one with the fog lamps in Khar Danda, and arrested him. He confessed to having molested over 20 women," said an officer.

Held for rape, too
Sources added that following Sayed's arrest, the police scanned his previous records and learned that the Nirmal Nagar police had arrested him earlier this year for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman. The Bandra East resident is married and runs a garment business.
The officer said, "We found out that in July alone he had molested five women at Bandstand and four in Pali Hill area between 6.30 am and 7.30 am. We have learned that the accused would use a marker to write a number on the plate, which he would erase while committing an offence to evade being identified."
