Mumbai: Maharashtra Culture minister Vinod Tawde today said selection of Marathi film 'Court' as the country's official entry to the Oscars was a proud moment for the entire country.
"The selection of Marathi film 'Court' to represent the country in the foreign film category of Oscars is a moment of pride not just for the state but for the entire country,"
he said.
Congress state President Ashok Chavan also extended his wishes over the film's entry to Oscars. Debutante Chaitanya Tamhane's National award-winning Marathi film 'Court', a poignant commentary on India's
judicial system, has been selected to officially represent the country in the Best Foreign Film category at the 88th Oscars next year.
