DISCOVERY of gravel and pebbles in the filter neck of Anil Ambani's chopper has shocked the corporate world.
Companies are now undertaking extensive re-checks of private jets and helicopters.
Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) firm, Air Works, whose employees are under the scanner after the incident, increased security inside its Kalina premises and engineers re-inspected all other aircrafts under its management as part of damage-control.
Captain R N Joshi, a senior pilot of RTTL, had lodged the complaint leading to an eight-member team of the Mumbai crime branch investigating the case.
Air Works caters to tier 1 corporate-customers like Reliance, Central and State Government aircrafts and helicopters.
CCTV cameras are also being installed to cover open parking slots. Presently, the CCTVF cameras cover only the hangar and office area. Zonal deputy commissioner of police Nisar Tamboli said, "We have already written to airport officials to install CCTV cameras."u00a0u00a0
A Reliance official denied that Air Works services had been discontinued.
