Crime Branch trains scanner on gang led by Sachin Khambe, who recently broke away from Bahrain-based gangster Ali Budesh
Crime Branch officers are working hard to gather information on the newly formed Sachin Khambe (52) gang that operates out of Ghatkopar.
Khambe and his associates were members of an older gang led by Ali Budesh (52), based in Bahrain.u00a0
Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) Rakesh Maria confirmed that members of the Khambe gang have broken away from the Bahrain-based gang lord.
A dispute over sharing of booty and delays in payment to frontline shooters by the bosses in the gang is said to be the reason for Khambe's breakaway.

"We have launched a major operation to bust the Khambe gang," Maria said.
The new gang's existence came to light following the arrest of Khambe gang members Velson Miranda and Nitin Prabhakar in connection with the firing on Krishna Shetty last month.
Khambe was earlier linked to Shamkishore Garigapatti (49), a key associate of Budesh, who has not been traced since he escaped from Kalyan Jail in 2002 by using forged papers.
