Rape case: Order on Ankit Tiwari's plea reserved

A special women's court yesterday reserved order on a discharge plea filed by singer Ankit Tiwari in a case of alleged rape till June 1.

Arguments on discharge plea concluded before Judge KS Shende, who reserved order. Tiwari was arrested in May 2014 and was granted bail a month later.

Stating that his relationship with the complainant was ‘consensual', Tiwari said in his application that her claim to have never drunk liquor can't be true as she worked in the advertising industry.
