According to the Indian Meteorological Department, between Friday and Saturday, the two stations of Colaba and Santacruz received 33.8mm and 70.8mm rainfall, respectively. Due to the downpour during the day, railway tracks and low-lying areas were submerged in water.

Waterlogging was reported near the Sion-Kurla and Byculla railway stations. On the Western Railway line, railway tracks were submerged in water between the Mahim and Bandra stretch.

Officials said that motormen were advised to lower the speed of trains as a precautionary measure and hence, trains were running late by 12 to 15 minutes.
