Services on the 11.04 km long Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route were affected on Tuesday evening due to a technical snag at Azad Nagar Metro station. Commuters were inconvenienced as peak hours trains were delayed.
It is said that the problem was identified at Azad Nagar on the train going towards Versova at 8:33 pm, after which the train was withdrawn and sent to the car depot. Sources told this newspaper that the problem will be rectified on Wednesday.
MMOPL spokesperson informed, "Due to some technical problem, one of the trains was withdrawn. Due to resultant bunching, two consecutive trains were delayed for around three minutes,"
The trains services were affected between 8.30 pm to 9 pm. It is said that the problem might have taken place because of the rains.
