Sources in the real estate industry revealed that the flat had been on sale in the market for a few months, and had even reached final stages of negotiations several times, but all the deals fell through, till one was finally inked recently. A public notice has also been issued, confirming that Sana and Zarina have agreed to sell the flat. The buyer's identity remains a mystery.

Prakkash Rohera of Karma Realtors confirmed that the flat had been in the market for a while. "The apartment is a two-bedroom hall kitchen flat, and has a small store room as well. It opens out to greenery, and some trees even brush the windows of the rooms. Even the location is prime. The flat has been sold at the market rate," he said.

The Panscholis have been in the limelight for a while now, ever since the actor's son Sooraj was jailed in connection to the death of actress Jiah Khan last year. The Panscholis have two other flats in Mumbai one in Juhu and the other in Andheri.

According to real estate agents, the Panscholis, who were quoting a price of Rs 5 crore for the apartment, had previously rented out the apartment. Prem Batra, another realtor from Bandra, claimed that the building is nearly 20 years old, and confirmed that the market rate for it was around R4.5 crore. Confirming the sale of the flat, Aditya Panscholi said, "We are buying another apartment in Versova for our daughter, in the same building where we live."
