Dhupia refused to throw condoms and emergency contraceptives at the crowd at a college event as part of Raat Gayi Baat Gayi's promotion
Dhupia refused to throw condoms and emergency contraceptives at the crowd at a college event as part of Raat Gayi Baat Gayi's promotionRaat Gayi Baat Gayi (RGBG) producer Rangita Nandy and actress Neha Dhupia had a spat over throwing condoms and emergency contraceptive pills at the crowd as part of the film's promotion at Mood Indigo, the annual IIT-Bombay festival, on Wednesday.
Says a source present at the event, "We were doing an event for RGBG with the Ankur Tiwari and Galat Family band.
Neha was supposed to join us at the end of the band's performance and throw the contents of the hangover kit to the crowd.
The kit was conceived as a marketing tool by the producers of RGBG and contained condoms and emergency contraceptive pills among other things."

Image Conscious: Neha Dhupia was scared the act would ruin her 'clean' image |
"Neha flatly refused to throw the condoms and pills saying it would ruin her clean image. Rangita told her that, as the lead actress, she had to do whatever the producers told her to promote the film," says the source.
For 15 minutes, the actress and the producers held a slanging match with both refusing to give in. "Finally Rangita had her way and arm-twisted Neha into throwing the condoms and pills.
She told Neha she wouldn't make her part of any other publicity and promotion of RGBG if she didn't do as she was told."
Rangita confirmed the argument and added, "The hangover kit is one of the coolest marketing ideas on RGBG.

Why should we waste it just because it contains emergency contraceptive pills and condoms? The crowd loved it and I don't regret my insistence to include it in the event."
Dismissing the spat as a friendly disagreement, Neha said, "Yes, we had a bit of an argument over the hangover kit but Rangita is a friend and friends have disagreements which they sort out. Let's just leave it at that."
