Versova police registers an FIR against Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for allegedly assaulting a 25-year-old woman over a parking space issue in his building premises
The Versova police booked actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for outraging the modesty of a 25-year-old woman, a resident of Zohra Aghadi Nagar Co-op HSG in Versova, where the actor resides. The alleged incident occurred last afternoon on the society premises.

In her complaint, the woman accused Nawazuddin of manhandling her while she was arguing with his bodyguards over the alleged encroachment of parking space adjoining the actor's ground floor apartment. She claimed the actor touched her on the chest to push her aside after she rushed to the aid of a society resident, who was being intimidated by Nawazuddin's bodyguards after he parked his two-wheeler near the actor's apartment.

Police officials said the actor and the society members are engaged in an ongoing dispute over the alleged encroachment of the parking space since the time Nawazuddin moved into the apartment [J-04] a year ago.
Inspector B D Patil from Versova police station said, "Based on the complaint filed by the woman, he [Nawazuddin] was booked under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty). Further investigation is on."

No response to notices
Society members claimed the actor did not accept or respond to any of the three notices issued to him, since September 2015. The latest notice was sent on Saturday. This notice reads: "You are hereby requested to vacate the society's compound space, which you have occupied for your personal use. That place was already reserved for parking bikes and scooters."
In another notice issued on Saturday, society residents were asked to park their two-wheelers at the earlier spot [space adjoining Nawazuddin's apartment]. The notice reads: "All the members of our society are hereby requested to park their two-wheelers at the previous parking space - near the BMC water tap on the society compound space."
Despite repeated attempts the actor was unavailable for comment.
