A few Mumbaikars also took to Twitter to report minor road accidents that had taken place due to slippery roads. "There is a 'trough of low' at the mean sea level from Comorian to Lakshadweep area. In other words, there is an elongated low pressure, due to which there's a cyclone in circulation in north coastal Karnataka and the neighbourhood at 0.9 km above sea level. All this combined is causing a cloudy situation resulting in light rain across Maharashtra. It will continue for the next two to three days," said Ajay Kumar, scientist from IMD.
