A tree fell on a 25-year old man on Tuesday near Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi Mumbai. A woman was also injured


A 25 year-old man died in the city on Tuesday when a tree fell on him near Siddhivinayak temple in Prabhadevi Mumbai. A woman was also injured.

According to the BMC, a tree fell at S K Bole Marg, Agar Bazar, Prabhadevi, next to Siddhivinayak Temple injuring 2 people. Both were sent to KEM hospital.

While the 25-year old was immediately declared dead on arrival, the other lady, Geeta Raju Kharva, 30, is taking treatment for minor injuries.

The city witnessed 48 mm rainfall between 8 pm Monday night to 8 am Tuesday morning. There were reports of water logging at nine spots including Hindmata.

The traffic was diverted till the rain water was pumped out.

The traffic was then restored at Hindmata.
