In a massive midnight anti-terror exercise, the north region of the Mumbai Police conducted a drill with four decoy terrorists inside the Dindoshi court. Officers from the Mumbai Police, anti-terror cells, Quick Response Team, Force One and the fire brigade simulated a terror attack and practised until the 'terrorists' were successfully neutralised and area secured.

A police officer at the drill said, "It started around 10.30 pm and concluded at 1.30 am. Dindoshi court was chosen for the drill as the premises is huge and it has several rooms. The police along with special security agencies have been regularly conducting such exercises post the 26/11 terror attacks."

"The fire brigade was involved as its role is important in terror-like situations, because there are chances of fires caused due to heavy firing or blasts. We also kept an ambulance on standby," said another officer.

In 2016, the police had arrested a 52-year-old man for making a hoax call, stating that a bomb was planted inside Borivli court, forcing security agencies to conduct a thorough search of the premises. Similarly, in 2015, an anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted inside the Bombay High Court, sending security agencies into a tizzy.
