Violence against traffic constables continues in Mumbai. A 23-year-old youth allegedly assaulted a 45-year-old traffic constable, during an argument between the two. According to a report by The Indian Express, incident occurred near Hotel Ramada Plaza in Juhu.

Constable Rakesh Garud, who is attached to the Vakola traffic division, was manning a U-turn point, when he was assaulted by mechanic Amit Singh. He suffered minor injuries on the face and back, according to police sources.

Santacruz police arrested Amit Singh over an hour later the same day on charges of assaulting a police officer.
