DN Nagar police have arrested a man from the JVPD junction, near Juhu, after they found him posing as a cop. According to sources, the man was dressed as a traffic police officer but his badge was missing.

The culprit has been identified as Mohsin Wazir, a resident of Malwani. Speaking to mid-day, an officer from the DN Nagar police station said, "Officers of the traffic department were patrolling near the JVPD junction when they spotted this man in a traffic policeman's garb halting cars randomly and asking to check their vehicle documents. They also saw Wazir demand fines from the vehicle owners. The officers suspected something amiss and confronted the man. It was then that they realised that the uniform was not an original traffic cop's attire and his identity badge was also missing. When the officers asked about his posting and joining date into the services, he couldn't answer anything."

The officers realised he was an imposter and took him to DN Nagar police station, where he was booked. The officer added, "Wazir has been booked for cheating and fraud. He was produced in court yesterday and has been sent to police custody for two days."
