While there are no leads on the âsuspicious' drone that put the city on alert on Tuesday, three people who work in a production house have been arrested for flying a drone in Charkop. Two of them were flying the drone for an upcoming shoot. The trio has been identified as Rahul Jaiswal (24), Rana Subhash Singh (25) and Vidhichandra Jaiswal (45), who is the owner of the drone.
According crime branch sources, Rahul and Subhash were flying the drone in Charkop without permission for the last several days. A local resident had tweeted to Mumbai police commissioner regarding the same after which, the commissioner asked for an immediate investigation into the matter. Drones are banned in the city.
A crime branch team, which was stationed in the area since Tuesday night, spotted two drones in the sky yesterday morning. They immediately laid a trap and nabbed Rahul and Subhash, who said that they were unaware of the ban.
