"Mishra touched the girl inappropriately and she got scared and ran back to the school. She told her grandmother about this on Wednesday night and the victim's father and some local political workers beat Mishra up before handing him over to us on Thursday," said an officer from Antop Hill police station.
According to the girl's parents, she was so terrified by the incident that she refused to go to school yesterday. "On Wednesday night, while my daughter was going to bed with her grandmother, she refused to go to the school the next day. The grandmother suspected something amiss and asked her what had happened, and my daughter told her about Mishra's heinous act, " said the victim's father.
Mishra has been booked for rape and under relevant sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Senior PI Sanjay Surve from Antop Hill police station said, "The security guard was staying with his relatives in Antop Hill's Kopari Nagar. He had come to the city from Uttar Pradesh three months ago to look for a job."
