In a shocking incident, a man was booked by the police for allegedly raping his 6-year-old daughter in Virar. The incident came to light when the rape survivor complained about the pain in her private part and when asked by her mother, she narrated the incident. On learning about the rape, the mother confronted the husband after which he assaulted her and fled the scene.

The survivor lived in Virar with her parents who work as daily wage labours. On Tuesday, when the girl was alone at the home, taking advantage of the situation, the accused raped her and injured her private part due to which the girl was crying in pain. When the mother arrived and asked her husband about the incident, he assaulted her also brutally and ran away from the house.

The rape survivor was rushed to the hospital by her mother and a complaint was filed by the Virar police under section 376(2) (f), (i), 323,504 of IPC and various section of POCSO act, informed a police officer from the Virar police station. The accused is at large and the police have initiated a lookout for him, he added further.
