The 20-year-old electrician was treated as a family member by the girl’s parents; when confronted about the rape, he threatened them not to file a case with the cops
MHB Colony police has arrested a 20-year-old electrician for raping his neighbour's three-year-old daughter. According to the police, the accused, Vinod Jaiswal, was treated as a family member and would often take the girl out to play.
The girl's father is a driver and is usually not at home. Jaiswal was an electrician, who did odd jobs, was treated as a brother by the girl's mother. The girl would also address him as âmama' (uncle).
On Sunday night, the girl's father was out and her mother was busy with household work. The accused took the girl out and gave her chocolates.
He then raped her and later left her outside her house. The mother became suspicious when she found stains on the child's clothes and her changed behaviour, and she informed her husband.
The girl narrated the whole story, however, when they confronted the accused, he threatened them not to register a case.
On Tuesday morning, the parents went to MHB Colony police station and filed the case. Jaiswal was arrested from Dahisar (East) on Tuesday afternoon and will be produced in court today.
