Mumbai crime: Cops arrest 5 for forging bail papers

The Shahu Nagar police arrested five people, including a lawyer, on Saturday for giving bail to two accused by submitting fake documents.

The cops had held Amit Gauhar alias Shiva, 35 and Vikas Guychet alias Vicky, 29, in an attempt-to-murder case and took them to Bandra court for remand.

Advocate Nandini Loke did all the paper work for the accused and submitted them to the court. Two people Prakash Raut, 60, and Ashok Adkale, 51, were produced for bail surety. During the hearing, the judge grew suspicious and called the cops, who found that the papers were fake.
