On August 8, we had highlighted the issues of noise pollution, footpath encroachments, illegal mobile towers and unfinished/ shoddy gas pipeline work plaguing this ward.

Residents claim that although minor changes have come about, bigger issues remain ignored. Beggars and hawkers still encroach on the skywalk near Nana Chowk on Grant Road. The skywalk is also a popular spot with canoodling couples. Its escalator is functional now, but residents say few people use it. Incessant honking of vehicles raises the decibel levels to over 100 in some areas. There are still a large number of illegal mobile towers in the ward.
