Mumbai: Part of the city to experience 12-hour long water cut

If you live in an area between Nariman Point and Bandra, it's time you brace yourself for 12 hours of water cut. As per a press note released by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, there will be no water supply in some parts of the A, C, D, E, G North, G South and H West wards of the city.

The water cut comes in lieu of the proposed repair work of the 1200mm dia CJV installed on 1200mm dia Mahim Shaft Tunnel arm to Tansa (West) at Mahim Cabin. The work is likely to be executed from 8am to 8pm on Thursday and will require the tunnel between Marol Maroshi - Vakola -- Ruparel - Race course are required to be isolated during this period.

The Municipal Corporation also added that during the execution of the work there will be no water supply or low pressure water supply in Nariman Point, Backbay, Cuffe Parade, Coloba, Military, Navy Nagar, Boribunder/ Sabosiddiq, Railways Zone, Backbay Zone (N S Road, E & S Road), Little Gibbs Road, Ridge Road, Pedder Road, Bhulabai Desai Road, Walkeshwar Road, Nepean sea Road, Carmachael/Altamount Road, Tardeo Road and MP Mill Compound Zones, B. Y. L. Nair & Kasturba Hospital, City Supply zone (S L Raheja Road, Mori Road, L J Road, SVS Road, T H Kataria Road, Bal Govinddas Road, Ranade Road, Senapati Bapat Marg, Gokhale Road, N C Kelkar Road, S K Bole Road, Bhavani Shankar Road, Kakasaheb Gadgil Marg), BDD Chawl at N M Joshi Marg, A B Road, Senapati Bapat Road, SVS Road,Ganpatrao Kadam Marg, Pandurang Budhkar Road , Worli Koliwada, Sakhubai Mohite Marg, Buddha Temple, Bandra Reclamation, Perry Road, Chapple Road, B J Road, Khardanda, Dilip Kumar road, Kol Dongari, Zig Zag Road, Palimala Road, Bazar Road and Union Park Zones.
