The Mumbai Police had posted an update regarding the situation on their official Twitter account. Their tweet read, "Heavy traffic jam on the eastern express highway due to an accident near Ramabai Nagar #TrafficUpdate."
Many users took to Twitter to share photographs of the accident
Some Twitter users had posted photographs of the accident, which was causing traffic issues. One user's tweet, with the image of the bus, which met with the mishap read, "... Avoid EEH in mrng. Use Amar Nahal route thru Ghatkopar E.Big Bus turned over on EEH near Ramabai big Jam (sic)."
Commuters were advised by some Twitterati to take alternate routes
Another user's tweet read, "... Pvt Bus overturned on EEH near Ramabai colony, ghatkopar.. traffic Jam (sic)." This tweet also had an image of the accident.
