Jogeshwari-based Ismail Yusuf College will be getting a newly developed and a much-modernised play-ground in the near future. A spokesperson for the minister said, "The work of re-development of the playground with all new facilities is already going on at this popular Jogeshwari College. MLA Waikar was taking stock of the situation when some students and sportsmen who have been using this playground regularly, met and addressed their issues to him. While the work is already going on, students pointed out that due to heavy and elongated rains the situation of the playground has worsened. The students also complained that it has damaged the level of the college playground."
Besides resolving the issues, other facilities included in the plan are - security wall on the fence of college so that only eligible players can enter, security guards for the playground gates, toilets and drinking water facility, high mast lights for games and practice sessions after sunlight, CCTV Installations among others.
