It was good tidings for rural artisans and women's self help groups as The Governor of Maharashtra, Ch.

Vidyasagar Rao recently stated that there is a growing demand for products manufactured by rural artisans and women's self help groups from all over the world. The Governor also felt that shopping plazas and malls should be persuaded to provide space to sell the products manufactured by rural artisans.
Talk about ethnic chic. The Governor was speaking after inaugurating âMahalaxmi Saras' an exhibition-cum-sale of various products manufactured by women's self help groups and rural artisans from across the country in Mumbai.
State Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis asked officials to explore the possibility of setting up a mall exclusively for Women's Self Help Groups and to provide permanent exhibition place for the products We say that our politician s are cottoning on to the desi style trend.

The Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) is holding what is called as a birding trilogy, which means it is a birding packed weekend on January 3 and 4. Over two days, one can visit the Karnala Bird Sanctuary, for forest birding and then Raptor Watch with Raptor expert Dr. Vaibhav Deshmukh.
Sign off with shore birding at Akshi Beach. Experts say that if you have a good day you can expect to see Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Black-naped Monarch, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Sulphur-bellied Warbler, Common Chiffchaff, Vigors's Sunbird, Brown-cheeked Fulveta, Emerald Dove, five species of Drongo namely Black, Ashy, White-bellied, Greater Racket-tailed, and Bronzed Drongo.
