Twinkle's new star
Juggernaut is back with another biggie in the bag. This time, Ms Funnybones, Twinkle Khanna will be publishing a book of short stories about women's lives. The MS seemed to have tempted KJo to turn one of the stories into a film, while another has already been optioned, we hear. The book is expected in mid-November.
The Thams know how to party
At the recently held inaugural edition of the India Nightlife Convention and Awards (INCA), the Best Nightclub category award went to Trilogy. Brothers Ryan and Keenan Tham threw a party for friends and family to celebrate the win.

Sonakshi Sinha, Dino Morea, Minissha Lamba, Sulaiman Merchant, Lauren Gottlieb, Pria Kataria Puri, and a host of Page 3 regulars dropped by to show their support. Keenan was ecstatic after bagging the award: "[In] the six years since it began, Trilogy has seen a host of artistes and performers, both on the national as well as global level. A part of why we strive to give our patrons, friends and family the experience is because we enjoy it just as much and love to bring that to them. This award means our efforts have been recognised. We believe in innovation and with our next edition of Trilogy:Out, we promise to change the way Mumbai parties yet again." This party has just begun, clearly.
Kids' books get their award now
Last year, one of the best bits of news that was announced at a literature festival in Mumbai was the inclusion of an award for Best Children's Book from the 2016 edition. It will be called the Big Little Book Award and will honour significant contributions by Indian authors and illustrators to children's literature.
The festival that commences in November, will see Marathi as the focus language for the author awards. The shortlisted authors are Madhuri Purandare and Rajiv Tambe while the illustrator's awards are across all languages.
The lucky illustrators include Proiti Roy, Nina Sabnani and Atanu Roy. In its first edition, this award sought nominations from publishers, librarians, academicians and experts. The nomination process received encouraging response across both the categories. Now, let's see who walks away with the prize.
Hope nobody saw that!

Now, Ajay Devgn in a comic book
Bollywood and comic books. Not a bad combination, eh? The recent buzz is that Ajay Devgn will be launching a comic book for his upcoming film Shivaay. Devgn and the rest of the film's cast will launch the title on October 23 at Mumbai Comic Con.
The book is being scripted and designed by TBS Planet, a comics studio from Bengaluru. Based on the adventures of an expert mountaineer who uses his wit, skill and expertise to overcome the odds, this comic will cover a thrilling episode of Shivaay's North Pole expedition.
