A Juhu-based woman was robbed of Rs 26,000 after she disclosed her ATM pin and internet banking password to a fake bank official on Saturday morning.
According to the police, the victim Manju Chopra received an unknown call around 11.20 am on Saturday. Posing as a fake bank official, the caller asked her to provide her ATM card pin and internet banking password, as the bank was updating the account details of all customers.

After she gave the details, within minutes Rs 26,000 was withdrawn from her account. When she realised that she had been conned, she immediately blocked the card and filed a complaint with the DN Nagar police station.

Speaking to mid-day, a police officer said, "A case has been registered against the unknown person under section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of IPC and section 66(C)(D) of Information Technology Act. Further investigation into the matter is on."
