Mumbai: Woman commits suicide by jumping off her flat in Andheri

Ekta Babbar, a resident of Green Acres building at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri (W), took the extreme step last night between 11.30 pm to 11.45 pm, according to the police.

A suicide case has been registered at Oshiwara police station.

No suicide note was found and the body has been sent for post mortem, said the police officials.

Ekta used to run a talent search company, providing film artists to the producers.

Her mother's statement was recorded by the police. According to which, the deceased father passed away six months ago and she was in depression due to her father's death. Ekta was living with her mother.

Further enquiry is going on, added the police official.
