The residents have registered an FIR at the Dindoshi police station. A few claimed that a similar incident had occurred in the recent past. One of the residents claimed the vandals smashed headlights and damaged petrol tanks. They even tore seats of a few of the motorcycles.
Bhavesh Solanki, one of the residents, said, "In the wee hours of Thursday, unidentified people entered our society and damaged 12 bikes. Our area is full of history-sheeters, and we think a few of them must have done it for fun."
Seconding Solanki's opinion, another resident Rahul Shah said, "This is the second time that such an incident occurred in our society. Since our society lacks CCTV cameras, identifying the accused will be an uphill task. Police should conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and must increase the night patrols in the area."
Residents claimed that back-to-back housebreakings had occurred in the society a few months ago, but the police have not cracked a single case yet.
