Mumbai: Pipeline burst on Western Express Highway

A pipeline burst happened on the Western Express Highway around 7 pm.

The incident ocurred after an air valve of the pipeline burst, spilling water on the Highway near Bandra station flyover.

The burst was attended by staffers from the Hydraulic department and supply was shut. Engineers started working on the burst and the excavation process is still on.

There is no clarity whether water supply on the parts of Western suburbs will be affected on Wednesday morning. It will be determined after excavation
