The unidentified man, in his 40s, was captured on the CCTV camera waiting at platform number 3 with an umbrella, which looked spread out but not folded in the grab.

As soon as the Ambernath-bound fast train approached the station, the man wasted no time and jumped right in front of it, thus turning into a lifeless mass of flesh in no time.

The incident took place at 1.26 pm and right after the incident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) sent his body for autopsy at Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar.

"We searched for an identification card but nothing was found. He was carrying one umbrella and did not buy a train ticket. Since the autopsy report is awaited, we have registered an accidental death report (ADR) as of now," said an official associated with the Kurla GRP.
