"We have not found any external injury on his body. It's too early to say if it is murder. We will investigate, however, on the basis of primary information we have filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR)," he added.

Police say Brendan had told the hotel staff that he would be checking out in the morning. However, he did not leave his room. When he did not even step out for dinner, the staff opened his room and found him lying dead.

Sources from Sahar police station revealed that the hotel staff took him to the hospital without informing them first. The police got a call from Cooper Hospital telling them about the incident. A post-mortem was conducted on the body and the report is awaited. Police have informed the Irish embassy about the incident.
