Atulchandra Kulkarni, from the 1990 IPS batch, took over as Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) yesterday


Atulchandra Kulkarni, from the 1990 IPS batch, took over as Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) yesterday.

He replaces Sadanand Date, who has been deputed to the Central Reserve Police Force. Singh was a DCP in Mumbai once, but has worked in Nanded, Jalgaon, Buldhana and Nagpur and has 13 years of experience with the Intelligence Bureau.

Thane also got a new top cop in Parambir Singh, who has been inspector general of Konkan region and additional commissioner (western region).
