Following the arrested accused Rajkumar Singh's confession that he had removed celebrity perfumer Monika Ghurde's clothes to sexually assault her, the Goa police have added the charge of rape against him.
DGP Vimal Gupta confirmed, "After his confession, we added Section 376 of the IPC to the list of charges against him."

Singh admitted that he removed Ghurde's clothes and tied her to the bed, then proceeded to show her three porn clips on his phone before sexually assaulting her. He added that he wanted revenge after she got him fired for stealing her umbrella in August. To strengthen their case against him, cops are waiting for the viscera report.
Three days after Ghurde's naked body was found in her apartment in Sangolda village, Goa, the police - in a joint operation between Goa, Mangalore and Bengaluru teams - nabbed Rajkumar, 21-year-old Bhatinda native, in Bengaluru. The security guard had worked in Sapna Raj, the building complex where Ghurde was living in and planning to move out of.
