Murray was found guilty of causing Jackson's death in 2009 from a lethal dose of the anaesthetic Propofol, and served almost two years behind bars. Following his release from jail in October, Murray tried to clear his name by appealing for his conviction.
However, officials at the District Court of Appeal in California rejected Murray's claim in January and have now made it clear that he would not be able to pursue the case any further by rejecting his request to take his appeal to the state's Supreme Court.
