On Tuesday, the weather bureau assured Mumbaikars that it would not rain for the next couple of days. It did, and that too heavily. So heavily that life was thrown out of gear. For Mumbaikars, it was bad start to a Wednesday.
By Wednesday afternoon things were getting back to normal. MiD DAY called the MET department for weather forecast. "The monsoon currents near Chattisgarh is expected to hit the entire Maharashtra . We have issued a warning of heavy rainfall for the next 48 hours," said Director of the Meteorological Bureau, Sathi Devi.
Mumbai is back to normal. Although public transport services are affected, there is no water-clogging in the any of the area that had submerged under water on Wednesday morning.
However, schools in many areas decided to shut down.

Situation now under control. With the water receding traffic is back to normal.
Railways
Both Western and Central railway are running late by 5-10 minutes.
Air
Both inbound and outbound flights were delayed by more than 20 minutes
With the MET department forecasting heavy downpour in next 48 hours, do we see sunshine on Thursday morning.
