ADVANTAGES
Kharghar is close to Navi Mumbai's business zones like Vashi, CBD Belapur, Mahape as well as to Taloja, a big industrial hub. One can easily travel from Kharghar to these places.
It's one of the well developed nodes in Navi Mumbai. Kharghar has good roads, schools, colleges, hospitals as well as social infrastructure. Residents don't have to travel far for their day-to-day needs.
With upcoming projects like the new airport, CIDCO's Central Park and Sewri- Nava Sheva Link, areas in and around Kharghar are bound to see appreciation in property prices.u00a0
Kharghar is surrounded by lush green hills and the Taloja creek, which makes for a very nice backdrop.u00a0 Residents can go for walks in the nice parks or make a trip to the Pandavkhada waterfall.u00a0
It has upcoming malls like Glomax, Shah Mall and Prime Mall with multiplex cinemas and supermarkets
DISADVANTAGES
Autos in Kharghar don't run as per the meter, which makes traveling by auto very expensive. Moreover, it is difficult to get rickshaws from the station to the different sectors.
Kharghar doesn't have as many posh malls, restaurants or hang-out spots like other Navi Mumbai suburbs.
People who need to travel to the western or central suburbs have to switch trains at Wadala or Kurla. Only trains plying from CST to Panvel and Khandeshwar halt at Kharghar.
Kharghar is plagued by regular power cuts like rest of Navi Mumbai. Water supply too is pretty irregular.u00a0
