Locals of Kharodi village in Mumbai were witness to a rather âholy' phenomenon as water started seeping from a Jesus Christ statue placed there.
The village comes under St. Anthony's Parish and, according to reports, after water began to mysteriously seep from the statue, devotees rushed there to gather what they believed was 'holy water'. As the word spread, a huge crowd gathered at the scene, and local cops had to rush to the spot.
"The pictures and videos of the statue soon went viral as devotees from Andheri and Bandra rushed to the spot to check for themselves. We also saw people from far off suburbs collecting holy water from the feet", Greg Periera, a resident of Malwani village, told DNA.
