She came, she saw and conquered with what she wore. A month-and-a-half after US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's India visit, the reverberations of her sartorial sonata are being heard again.
One of the things she did during her visit to the city was shop at the Sewa store, Hansiba, in Napean Sea Road.

It has now been revealed that she actually wore one of the kurtas she bought there to a state dinner in New Delhi, immediately after she left Mumbai.
The organiser looking after her visit to India mailed Sewa on her behalf saying, "She looked very nice wearing it, and she said she was pleased with it and found the kurta very comfortable. You will have to order more for the store inventory!"
Clinton had bought a rust kurta in silk. Mona Dave, CEO of Sewa, confirmed she had received the email. "We are very happy that she acknowledged our work and liked the kurta.
She was very touched after our member Gauriben gifted her an antique and very personal door panel," she said.
Dave added that after the overwhelming response from Clinton and her entourage, Sewa is planning to have a fashion show in the US.
"The footfalls at Hansiba have increased by more than 50 per cent after the Clinton visit," she said.
