Last night around 9.30 pm, a group of four youngsters ransacked the house of a senior-citizen couple at Wallington Colony, Santacruz. However, as they tried to escape, neighbours nabbed two of them.
"Mabel Araozo (54) was alone at her home, when the group entered their house through the balcony.u00a0 The robbers hit Mabel on her head. She is recovering at Nanavati Hospital. We will record her statement after she gains consciousness," said Dilip Gaikwad, senior PI from Santacruz police station.
Mabel's husband, Dr Haratmal, confirmed that nothing was robbed from the house. The two accused have been booked for attempt to robbery and trespassing.
