Elections 2014: Mumbaikars gear up for April 24

While Mumbai's population is nearly 1.25 crore, a majority of the voters are in the suburbs. As Mumbai votes to elect six parliamentarians, here's a look at the details of the constituencies of the city


With the Election Commission announcing the election dates and the code of conduct coming in force from Wednesday, mid-day gives you the details of the six constituencies of the city.

While the city's population is nearly 1.25 crore, a majority of these voters are in the suburbs of the city. The final list of voters isn't ready and if your name is not on the list, you can get registered up to March 9.

Mumbai will vote on April 24 for electing the six parliamentarians from the city. In 2009, all the six constituencies were won by Congress-NCP combine.
