Anand, a 43-year-old gay, who was detained from Kerala for allegedly sending emails containing information about a plot to blow up Hiranandani Complex in suburban Powai, has arrived in India from Saudi Arabia in search of his lost love following which he was nabbed, Anti- Terrorism Squad (ATS) officials has said.

"We have detained Anand who is an NRI and small time actor in Kerala. After reaching Mumbai, he will be formally arrested," an ATS officer said.

"We told his former partner to ring him up and call him to Mumbai. After the call Anand, who is a businessman in Saudi Arabia, thought that he can rekindle his lost love. Our plan worked out and we managed to nab Anand from Kerala," the officer said.

According to police, Anand developed affection with a vice-president of a firm when he frequented Powai and they became partners a few years ago.

"However, a couple of months ago, the duo parted their ways as the vice-president was seeing some other guy who is an executive officer with a firm," the officer said.

He said, "Enraged Anand wanted to teach a lesson to his boyfriend following which he sent threatening emails to info@hiranandani.net on February 14 and 15 which claimed that a person who goes by the name JJ stays in the complex and was planning to blow the complex."

The emails came from karmavisva@yahoo.com and the IP address was traced to Saudi Arabia, police said. "When we traced the vice-president and his new partner whose names start with JJ in Powai, the entire story unfolded," officials said.

"We told the vice-president to ring up Anand and tell him that he wants to patch up with him. Anand thought that his partner's relationship with his lover is going through rough weathers following which Anand decided to come back and get his lost love," officer said.

"Instead of flying to Mumbai, he had gone to Kerala. We accordingly laid a trap and caught him from there," police said adding that further investigation is on.
