Cargo strike was finally called off on Monday by Custom House Agents belonging to the CHA Kamgaar Sena
Mumbai: Cargo strike was finally called off by Custom House Agents on Monday.
The Custom House Agents (CHA) belonging to the CHA Kamgaar Sena went on strike Friday morning.
The strike was called off after their demands were fulfilled.
These agents were protesting against the delayed off loading procedures that not only lead to chaos but also many difficulties for them.
One of the main reason for them to protest was the Customs terming cargo till 350 kilogram of weight as 'light' cargo (before cargo till 150 kg was termed as light cargo).
A huge loss was suffered due to the strike caused by the 700 and more CHAs.
